Winter delights in the Feuerkogel ski area

The Feuerkogel ski area is considered one of the most beautiful sports paradises. It is located in the nature-pampered Salzkammergut near the sparkling Traunsee lake. Family-friendly slopes, cosy huts, a magnificent view and selected offers characterise what is probably the most beautiful high plateau in Austria. Families with children and ambitious skiers alike appreciate the mountain as a friendly snow paradise.

THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT EBENSEE'S LOCAL MOUNTAIN

The Feuerkogel is Ebensee's local mountain and a proud 1592 metres high. At the same time, it is also the most beautiful skiing area in the region. From the modern lifts and perfectly groomed slopes to the new snowmaking system and first-class ski and snowboard schools including equipment rental, the Feuerkogel leaves nothing to be desired.

For the little ones, Franzi's Dragon Park is a great supervised children's area where boredom is guaranteed. The grown-ups can look forward to exciting events such as night skiing or ski races. Despite the many attractions, the Feuerkogel ski area has a very personal and familiar atmosphere, which is perfect for feeling good and relaxing.

Snowshoe hiking

THE WONDERFULLY QUIET PLEASURE

When snowshoeing, you can immerse yourself in a deeply snow-covered winter landscape away from the pistes and lifts. To do this, you strap on special snowshoes that enable you to make progress even in deep snow without much effort. Here, far away from the hustle and bustle, it is incredibly quiet and you become one with nature. A fantastic experience that is really good for body and soul!

If you wish, you can go on a snowshoe hike accompanied by an experienced tour guide. On the way, the guide will be happy to tell you exciting stories about the region!

Ski tours

THE SPECIAL TREAT FOR INDIVIDUALISTS

Similar to snowshoeing, you are also off the classic slopes during a ski tour. The untracked snowy landscape has a very special charm, and the sight of the lonely snow-covered peaks is magnificent.

There is a suitable route for every level of difficulty, and if you need a break in between, stop off in one of the cosy mountain huts. If you don't want to go off on your own, trust the experience of a tour guide and let him lead you to the most beautiful places.
